     Mr. Porter holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agribusiness from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, which has one of the most highly regarded agricultural business programs in the United States, where he graduated near the top of his class. Mr. Porter also achieved a Juris Doctorate degree from the San Joaquin College of Law, where he again graduated near the top of his class. The motto of Cal Poly is “Learn by Doing” which is something that has Mr. Porter has taken to heart and strives towards in all of life’s endeavors. This “can do” attitude is a major spirit of his attitude and has served his clients well throughout his career. Mr. Porter has been a practicing attorney in a top Fresno Civil Litigation law firm for several years and is licensed to practice in all courts of the State of California and the Eastern District of California Federal Court. Mr. Porter specializes in Probate, Estate Planning, Business Formation, Real Property, Family Law and Civil Litigation.  Mr. Porter has handled cases ranging from landlord/tenant disputes to multimillion dollar crop loss cases and complex, adversarial bankruptcy proceedings throughout the Central Valley of California.

 

     Mr. Porter was born and raised in western Fresno county in the Kerman area and is also a farmer, growing raisins and wine grapes. In addition, Mr. Porter is a rancher and a horseman, who has produced and competed in team roping and rodeo events throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, and Oklahoma. Mr. Porter’s family has been producing team roping events in the Fresno area for over 40 years and Mr. Porter is an active member of numerous roping and rodeo organizations. Mr. Porter’s experience, background, and down to earth personality make him an invaluable resource to you.
